Valli Giudicarie

Giudicarie Valleys: situated in western Trentino, they wind from the Terme di Comano to the Tione basin, then continue along Calle del Chiese to Lake Idro and are divided into two territories, the Giudicarie Interiori and the Giudicarie Esteriori. Its central position allows to reach the main ski resorts of Trentino, such as Madonna di Campiglio. While in the summer period it is not necessary to move around, given the countless activities that the area offers. On hot summer days you can take a dip in the clear waters of Lake Idro, but not only, as it is also a very popular place for sailing, canoeing and windsurfing enthusiasts. The numerous lakes in the valley are also the ideal place for fishing! 

Moreover, in summer, in the Giudicarie valleys it is possible to practise various sports, such as mountain biking along meadows, woods and pastures at high altitudes, as well as via ferrata and climbing. Very popular are also the trekking excursions, with itineraries to be carried out surrounded by nature, between the refuges and the wild mountains of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. 

The most famous place in this valley is Comano Terme. 

Comano: this is the largest protected area in Trentino. Located between Lake Garda and the Brenta Dolomites, it includes the three plateaus of Banale, Bleggio and Lomaso. On the left bank of the Sarca river there is the Terme di Comano, in the middle of a large park with many paths surrounded by nature and play areas for adults and children. It is the ideal place for skin care and to free your mind. In winter you can practice the main winter sports, but the real strength of this town is its naturalistic landscape and the numerous attractions it offers in summer. The park of Terme di Comano hosts about 3 km of footpaths, where you can go jogging or gymnastics in the open area and surrounded by almost seven thousand specimens of plants. In addition, in the park you can find a multi-purpose field, a fitness trail and two bowling alleys. 

Leaving this protected area, Comano offers another 700 km of paths to be covered on foot or by bike, not to mention the wide truth of cycle paths suitable for more or less expert cyclists. All within the valley and the park of the Brenta Dolomites, thanks to six cycle paths made in the valley bottom.
